Wisteria are vigorous woody climbers with twining stems bearing pinnate leaves and long pendulous racemes of fragrant pea-like flowers in spring and early summer. Rosea is a large, strong-growing deciduous, twining climber with dark green, pinnate leaves and drooping racemes to 60cm in length, crowded with fragrant, pale rose flowers tipped with purple, with the leaves. Full sun or partial shade position and moist but well-drained soil. Ultimate height 12 to 20ft.
