Rodgersia are moisture-loving rhizomatous herbaceous perennials with handsome, often attractively tinted, leaves that may be pinnately or palmately divided, and small star-shaped flowers in large conical panicles in summer, remaining showy in fruit. ‘Bronze Peacock’ is a compact, clump-forming perennial to 60cm tall with large leaves divided into veined, glossy leaflets which emerge a bright reddish-bronze in spring, maturing to a dark green colour in summer before taking on attractive autumnal tints. In summer, tall sprays of bright pink flowers are held above the foliage on red stems. Full sun or partial shade, will tolerate poorly drained soils.
