A recently introduced conifer with a much better disease resistance to many other conifers. Soft fern-like sprays of yellow-green leaves give vibrant colour all year round. A relatively slow-growing conifer that forms a slender column which looks luminous when the temperature drops and its colour intensifies to a rich gold. Can be used as a specimen in the border or as a slower growing alternative to leylandii for hedging. Full sun or partial shade position and moist but well-drained soil. Eventual height 8 metres.
